Ongoing moment

When I first approached photography, I was fascinated and impressed by the book, "The infinite instant," by Geoff Dyer. In the text, Dyer converses with well-known and lesser-known artists (Alfred Stieglitz, Paul Strand, André Kertész, Diane Arbus, Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, William Eggleston etc.) investigating their lives and creative intentions to find the commonalities and intersections within.

It surprised me that I had unknowingly created a look similar to other photographers in the past. In this project, there was no targeted research on my part, or the desire to “copy” known or unknown photographs. Instead, I catalogued my chance findings from books, on the web, of similar moments captured by different eyes, in different times and places. It seems to confirm the guiding line of Dyer's book.
